Tinkle Tinkle Little Star

After patiently waiting about 15-20 minutes, reading our townhome newsletter, and playing with the TP in the bathroom with Miss Korbin, she finally made a tinkle in her potty! I think Mommy was more excited than she was. After she tinkled, she somehow knew what to do with the toilet paper. She thought it was pretty cool that she got to wear Pull Ups the rest of the day. We tried the potty chair a few times afterwards, but did not have the same luck as before. This is probably going to take more effort on Mommy's part than hers, mostly because Mommy doesn't normally have patience. It's funny what our children teach us. So far, humility and patience have peaked their virtuous heads in my little bubble. Stay tuned for more adventures.

Coloring is fun!

When she's not dancing, she loves to color. We bought her a coloring book and some crayons a couple weeks ago and she and Mommy each colored a page. After Mommy was done with hers, Korbin thought Mommy's page needed some touch-ups. She also thought the back door needed touched up as well as the ottoman. Then after coloring, she decided to eat her crayon. Why do they make crayons look so tasty? After pulling pieces of crimson wax out of her mouth, we moved on to the next project- Chloe, our black and white rat terrier. Poor Chloe.

Maniac

I wish I had a video camera for everything Korbin does these days. Her new favorite? Dancing on a Rubbermaid tub lid Flashdance style while we sing, "Maniac." Once we say, do maniac, she goes and gets her lid and performs for us. If she's not dancing on her Rubbermaid lid, she bobs her head to the music in the car and attempts to snap her fingers. I'm not sure where she learned this because neither Mom nor Dad have any rhythm whatsoever.
She knows how to say "tutu" now and we put it on her so she can do her ballerina spins. She really loves to dance. I can't wait to put her in dance lessons so she can teach everyone else her moves.
